Boston College EMS is proud to partner with Armstrong Ambulance in collaboration with First Response EME to offer EMT-B training to the Boston College campus community as well as the Greater Boston community.

Spring 2018 Course Information

This Spring, Boston College EMS and Armstrong Ambulance in collaboration with First Response EME are offering an over 150-hour intensive course that will prepare students to take the written and practical EMT exams issued by the state of Massachusetts and the National Registry of EMTs. Students will learn all aspects of pre-hospital emergency care for injuries and illnesses within the scope of practice of an EMT-B, as well as practice patient assessments and emergency procedures. There are no course prerequisites, but students must attend all class sessions and pass written and practical exams.

BC students, please note: completion of this course does not guarantee membership in BCEMS.

Spring 2018 Session Class Dates/ Times

The class will begin Sunday, January 21st, 2018 and will conclude in May 2018. Weekly meeting times for the course are as follows:
  • Sundays: 9:00 am – 4:00 pm
  • Mondays: 6:00 pm – 10:00 pm
  • Tuesdays: 6:00 pm – 10:00 pm
  • Please note that class will not be held on BC breaks and holidays

Please note that spaces in the class are limited and are assigned on a first-come, first-serve basis, but preference will be given to those associated with BC
Apply for the BCEMS sponsored scholarship here. This scholarship is exclusively for Boston College students taking the EMT-B course. The deadline to apply is January 14, 2018.
